Farm time friends offers special needs an opportunity to interact verbally and socially with animals.
Our experience is that exposure to different types of animals such as hand feeding chickens, grooming walking or feeding a goat, or holding or walking dogs or cats, encourages empathy, self confidence and a sense of pride.
The multi-sensory approach to learning offered by our program allows the kids to care for animals, promotes calm and increases positive emotions, and help them to connect to the world around them. The connection with animals improves motivation and each farm friend will connect in their own unique way.
