Jamie Tanner is the founder and Board President of Simple Sparrow Care Farm. In 2017, she embarked on a mission to use farm-based programs to help individuals “Learn + Grow + Heal” through the power of nature. Her vision gave rise to a care model centered around trauma-informed care, benefiting people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. The model aims to teach individuals how to care for themselves by learning to care for others. Jamie’s research and personal insights are explored in her doctoral dissertation, A Development and Evaluation of Simple Sparrow Care Farm’s Executive Leadership Training Program. Her work demonstrates that the care farm model is replicable and scalable, promoting better mental health and enhancing overall quality of life.
