This session brings together leaders from Europe to share proven care farm approaches, national frameworks, and partnership strategies that have strengthened care farming abroad. Learn from Brian Smyth how Ireland’s Social Farming Network grew through collaboration and multi-stakeholder engagement. Care farm pioneer Maarten Fischer will share his wisdom and work in standards of care and strengthening national care farming networks in the Netherlands. We’ll also hear about Sarah Himmelheber’s experiences teaching study-away care farming courses in the Netherlands, with students volunteering with a Dutch care farm (Noorderhoeve).
