The Trellis Center’s mission is to help participants increase independence in their lives through a variety of recreational and community engagement activities.

We strive to create environments where adults with developmental disabilities are understood, valued and given opportunities to grow individually as well as contribute to their community.

The Trellis Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that fosters a sense of purpose and belonging in teens and adults with developmental disabilities. The Trellis Center was created by a group of concerned parents who recognized the need for a creative, innovative, community-based program where adults with developmental disabilities are able to continue to learn, grow, have social relationships, and work toward independence. Staffed with highly experienced employees originally from across the country, the Trellis Center provides dynamic and integrated programming for individuals with any level of support need. Just as typical individuals, those with developmental disabilities need opportunities to continue to learn social, communication, leisure, recreation and employment skills. The Trellis Center will challenge and support each participant as they acquire these functional skills with the clear objective of continually improving their quality of life and developing increased independence so the individual can more adequately support themselves.
