GROW HUB is a beautiful and safe place where adults of all abilities can find meaningful work. Our collaborative community programs and partnerships provide opportunities and experiences they often cannot find elsewhere. Our mission is: “Cultivating, empowering and assisting disabled adults for sustainable living through education, training and job opportunities.”
GROW HUB, (Growing Real Opportunities to Work—Harvest of Urban Business), a 501c3 not-for-profit, was incorporated in 2016 to meet a critical need faced by both local students and adults of varying abilities who complete their schooling at age 22, and have limited options for meaningful employment.
We evolved from the School Board of Alachua County’s (SBAC) successful Farm to School to Work Hub, and seek to create new partnerships with:
- complementary businesses looking to align their work with our mission to provide opportunities to employ an enthusiastic workforce
- philanthropic organizations and individuals looking to make a real difference locally
- social service agencies with similar missions (such as Vocational Rehabilitation, the Center for Independent Living and Veterans Affairs)
