Our 12-acre farm in Yelm focuses mainly on education. Our petting zoo serves as the focal point for our child educational programs and we also host a wide array of educational events for adults who are interested in growing food and living well on the land.
With a great amount of enthusiasm and passion, volunteers share knowledge through workshops on soil fertility, greenhouse construction, solar panels, wind turbines, composting, Hugelkultur, honey bees, rainwater harvesting, Earthship homes, sustainable living, shrinking our footprint, and responsible financial investments.
We host high school and college students to work and learn simultaneously through their internship program and WWOOFing opportunities.
We make and grow thoughtfully produced products, including eggs, honey, chickens, fruits, vegetables, and seeds, that we sell to the local community.
We get excited about regenerative agriculture practices and focus on worker health (both mentally and physically) , our grass-fed, pasture-raised lambs, goats, and sheep, the two miles of Hugelkultur beds rimming the farm, and we can’t wait to share it all with you!
