The Care Farming Network Resource Library provides tools, resources, and community support to help your care farm thrive–or to help you make your care farm vision a reality.
Please enjoy the newest additions to the Resource Library, below:
1.) Unlocking Boundaries: Propagating Native Plants with Incarcerated Populations: In this webinar hosted by Natural Areas Association, Stacy Moore and Tyler Knapp of the Institute for Applied Ecology discuss the Sagebrush in Prisons Project, which is part of the Sustainability in Prisons Project.
Learn the reported benefits of the project for crew members across five states, as well as the environmental impact of restoring sagebrush populations and sage-grouse habitat.
2.) Learn more about the Sagebrush in Prisons Project is this 4-minute video created by the National Audubon Society:
3.) Hot Potato: Heat Safety Where You Work: In this webinar offered by Not Our Farm, you’ll hear from farmers and agricultural service providers from across the country as they share tips, practices, and policies related to extreme heat–from formal ways to institutionalize a culture of safety to the small actions we can take as individuals.
Don’t forget to visit their “Farming in Extreme Heat” Resource Page for SOPs, protocols, and templates shared by farmers around the country (linked in the resource above).
4.) During the 2025 CFN Mentorship Program, CFN Co-Director Kate Mudge provided this mini-grant workshop for mentees–and it’s now available in the Resource Library.
This workshop explores writing effective Project Summary; showing a funder that your project is vital, urgent, evidence-based; distinguishing between organizational Goals and Activities; turning your Budget into a compelling financial story; and more.
