Bright Spot Farm is a non-profit urban farm and a West End Neighborhood House program. We grow our produce on 3 acres of land on the Herman Holloway Campus on Route 13 in New Castle Delaware.
Bright Spot Farm employs eligible young adults ages 14-19 into our Young Farmers agricultural training program. Employed youth learn hands-on vegetable production while practicing teamwork, independence and leadership skills. We believe in the power of farming to transform people through building confidence and fostering leadership.
We aim to heal and empower the young people in our program by rooting our farming in an ethic of community service.
