Inspired by the Catholic Worker Movement, Julie and John started Oxbow Farm in 2020 with the mission of sharing the joys and challenges of farm life with others. We use organic practices and offer produce, hospitality, and educational opportunities to anyone in material or spiritual need.

We started small with a plant sale, a flock of laying hens, and about a quarter acre in diversified fruit and vegetable production. 2021 was our first full season in operation and we successfully hosted a few community events, spiritual retreats, offered on-farm education and volunteer opportunities, and donated over 2000 lbs of our produce to local pantries. In 2022 we started a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program where you can opt to sponsor a share for someone in need. We also sell our produce at the Govans Farmers’ Market on 5104 York Road every Wednesday 3-6pm June – September. You can also shop at our farm stand every Friday from 2pm-6pm in the barn starting June 9th, 2023!
