WBZ-TV visited Cape Abilities as they celebrated 20 years of offering meaningful work for people with disabilities.
Farm Director Rachel Gillis shares: “It’s a magical place that we have here. Our individuals come with no work experience and we give them vocational training, a sense of purpose, and they do a wonderful job.”
Phil Weber, who has been working at Cape Abilities for seven years, shares: “I love it a lot; I just love it. I like putting a smile on people’s faces, and I like helping people who are in need of help.”
The segment includes a look into Cape Abilities’ new community center, which houses some of their vocational programming.
