"Rooted and Rising: Growing the Future of Care Farming"

220 care farmers, practitioners, researchers, advocates, and supporters gathered for the 2nd Annual Care Farming Network National Conference February 9-11th.
Over three days, our community showed up with openness, wisdom, and vision. With 20+ breakout sessions led by experienced care farmers and field leaders, participants dove into practical tools and bold ideas about what it takes to build and sustain care farms across the country. The learning was rich. The collaboration was real. And the momentum was palpable.
And then there was the joy and connection.
The first-ever Care Farmer Fashion Show lit up the room with laughter, creativity, and unapologetic farm flair. Affinity groups created spaces of belonging. Hallway conversations turned into partnerships. Meals became networking hubs. New friendships formed. Old ones deepened.
Even after the conference closed, the connection didn’t end. Attendees will continue reaching out to one another, scheduling calls, sharing resources, and building collaborations across state lines.
The care farming movement is not just emerging. It is growing. And we are rising together.
