Fundraising Strategies for Your Care Farm

Wednesday, October 8, 6:30-7:30 PM Eastern Time
Venue: Online

Funding is one of the biggest hurdles for aspiring care farmers. In this session, we’ll explore practical fundraising strategies- from grants and individual donors to partnerships and earned income- while highlighting real-world examples of how care farms across the country are sustaining and growing their work.

We’ll be joined by Nora Venezky, Development Director at Homesteads for Hope, where she has worked since January 2024, first as a grant writer before stepping into her current role in 2025. She previously served as Executive Director at several small museums across the country, including the Greenbrier Historical Society in Lewisburg, WV, and the Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry in Seneca Falls, NY. Nora is also the President of the Small Museum Association and is thrilled to now be part of the care farming movement, building inclusive opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
