RecuperAcres is the Twin Cities only private, outdoor, nature-based facility used for therapeutic purposes. Immersion in nature has a positive impact on mental, spiritual, and physical health; however accessibility to safe and private spaces where this type of therapy can occur is limited or non-existent. We provide a place where clients and providers can engage in private and confidential therapeutic processes without interference.
On top of being used for walk and talk nature therapy for mental health therapists and their clients, RecuperAcres hosts an OT Nature Camp run by Roots & Wings Therapeutic Service for the last 2 years. Multiple times a year, there are also Ecotherapy workshops for Mental Health Practitioners facilitated by Rooted Growth Therapy, to help other practitioners learn how to implement ecotherapy into their practice.
