Our Mission is to enhance the lives of children and adults with diverse cognitive, emotional, and physical needs by providing a safe environment for therapeutic horsemanship.

Therapeutic riding or adaptive riding takes a riding lesson and adapts it to the needs of the individual. Clients work on learning riding skills while improving physical, social, and emotional skills. Clients are matched to an appropriate equine and taught by a PATH Intl (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) certified instructor. Whether learning to ride independently or requiring the support of a horse leader and/or 1 to 2 sidewalkers, clients learn riding skills that benefit them on and off the horse.

Prancing Horse is proud to offer the Freedom Reins program to veterans and active duty service members.  The intent of the program is to improve the lives of servicemen and women, and is structured to help them adjust physically, socially, and emotionally.

The cost for veterans and service members to participate in the Freedom Reins program is covered through sliding scale fundraising efforts, restricted grants and donations, and through the Wounded Warrior Project, Inc.  Wounded Warrior has a direct service program that specifically pays for qualified veterans and service members to have sessions at PATH International Premier accredited centers through its Equine Services for Heroes.
