The mission of Peachtree Farm is to produce locally grown produce for the metro Atlanta and North Georgia area while providing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
The central mission of Peachtree Farm is to promote equitable employment for adults with disabilities. A farm creates a unique opportunity for employment because the work is hands on, engaging, and accessible.
Sample jobs include: Grounds maintenance, plant care, harvesting fruits and vegetables, packing for sale, and running a farm stand.
As the farm grows to include housing opportunities, jobs will continue to expand and diversify.
Each of these jobs is a skills-based jobs, and transferable to other positions. By demonstrating the importance and efficacy of equitable employment, Peachtree Farm aims to create a culture of inclusion that the broader community can incorporate.
