Morgan’s Farm Market is a commercial fruit operation (apples, peaches, sweet cherries, strawberries, pumpkins, annual flowers) with a small farm market. In 2025 we launched Down to the Core, an apple gift box shipping business (local and national) run by our son Micah, who has Down Syndrome and Autism; this has since expanded into apple pies. In 2026 we added a community garden, walking trail, and sensory fort, and built out programming and collaborations for individuals of all abilities under the name Down to Basics, our rural community’s answer to a persistent gap in opportunities and access for people with diverse needs.
Partners including Love 2 Learn, Blue Heron Collective, Infinite Possibilities ABA (in process), and neighboring Christine VanGee Equine Instruction bring programming to our site, and our work is guided by certified teachers (PE, health, special education, early childhood development, science), a BCBA and behavioral technicians, and other relevant experts. Existing u-pick offerings (apples, strawberries, sweet cherries) are a current accessibility target, and over the next year we plan to add wheelchair accessible parking pads, a cinder accessible walking trail, accessible raised garden beds, an accessible port-a-john and picnic table, a community garden greenhouse, and continued sustainable garden practices on site.
