Bee in Bloom is a heart-centered community-based organization rooted in the belief that nature nurtures, and so can we. Located on a working care farm, we aim to provide holistic wellness services like therapeutic horticulture in a safe, inclusive space designed to support healing and personal growth.
Our long-term vision includes three programs:
- The Thrive Hive Program invites people with Down syndrome and other disabilities to participate in therapeutic horticulture that fosters life skills, confidence, and community connections.
- The Wildflower Program supports women and teens who have been impacted by domestic violence or trauma.
- And the Cultivating Connections Program creates a welcoming space where the community can gather to reconnect with nature, with creativity, and with one another, offering hands-on workshops and shared experiences designed to nurture well-being, inspire learning, and cultivate meaningful connections.
We offer hands-on experiences that build confidence, connection, and purpose through meaningful work with the earth, animals, and community.
We are actively developing our care farm while offering therapeutic horticulture (TH) sessions in the present.
The space is intentionally a work in progress, reflecting growth, learning, and continuous development. We are excited to work with our partners and community to grow this care farm into a broader shared vision.
As our programs grow, we plan to create a line of small-batch, natural products, like honey, herbal teas, salves, and more, crafted directly from our land. Additionally, we plan to have seasonal community plant sales and a small farmers’ market on site. Every purchase helps fund our mission and supports those we serve.
