Care Farming Network

Location
Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Hello everyone! I am a parent of an adult daughter who has a diagnosis of an Intellectual Disability and Profound Autism. I hope this gives you hope for some of you who are reading this and experiencing a similar journey. I have always been concerned about what will happen to Tara once I get too old to care for her or when I pass. I wanted there to be something for her to participate in that is a community of understanding people that care and that can teach her new things. This is how T’s Farm came to be. I would like for all individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who may be marginalized currently to have a place for them to grow.

We are just beginning and we need your help. We can’t have T’s Farm, without the land in place. We aim to purchase land by 2025 and can’t do that without you. We are a 501-c-3 organization so know that your donations will be going to a wonderful cause and you will be helping so many people obtain the opportunity to meet new people and experience new things in their lives.

Empowering Through Farming Education.

At t’s farm, we empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities by teaching them farming, providing job opportunities, and addressing food insecurity in our community through crop donations.

Our mission is to create a supportive environment where participants can learn essential farming skills, earn wages, and contribute to reducing food insecurity by donating surplus crops to local food pantries.
