April Monthly Member Gathering:
Care Farmer Training: Building the next generation of Care Farmers

Join us for a conversation about training the next generation of Care Farmers and learn more about the growing research available on the benefits of Care Farming. Both presenters are professors, knowledgeable about Care Farming, and actively engaged in teaching about Care Farming in the classroom and farm setting!

Some of the discussion will focus on the following:

Highlighting current research on care farming: what is being studied? How is this useful to care farms?
What schools are training the next generation of Care Farmers. How are they doing this, and what are they offering?

Care Farms are Growing!

Allaire Care Farm is growing

This building will be used as a produce processing facility and will be equipped with a commercial kitchen. Culinary training will be provided in a state-of-the-art kitchen for our specialized programs! The frame is up and the remainder of the building is expected to be finalized this summer. Our farm's big vision was first presented in January 2018. Five years later it is beyond humbling to see that vision come true.

Gould Farm is expanding! The Roadside farm-to-fork dining experience will be stronger than ever. The outdoor covered patio will transform the Roadside experience. The building will be set back further from the road to allow for more parking and ADA building access. The building will have energy-efficient appliances and HVAC to reflect our commitment to being good stewards of our environment.

Join Gould Farm's Virtual volunteer program info session

Gould Farm (MA) is hosting a virtual info session and you're invited to attend to learn more about their 1-year volunteer program.

When: April 5th at 12 PM EST

Who Should Attend? Mature and caring individuals interested in living in a therapeutic community. Volunteers work alongside residents at a 700-acre farm gardening, working with livestock, maintaining trails, baking, helping run the Roadside Café, serving in the residences, and leading activities. Placements in Boston are also available.
