Our 65th Featured Farm Friday is View of Heaven Farm, located in Loudoun County, Virginia, provides year-round living-wage meaningful employment opportunities to individuals in their neurodiverse and physically disabled community. View of Heaven sells a variety of fresh produce and baked goods at at their own Farm Market every Saturday, and throughout the week at Spring House Farm Store.

The Care Farming Network is calling all care farmers across the U.S. to gather and advance the field of care farming! The conference will be hosted in partnership with Red Wiggler Community Farm & ServiceNet’s Prospect Meadow Farm and includes three days of farmer-to-farmer learning,  inspiring speakers, educational workshops,  and farmer panels.

You're invited to join the Care Farming Tour at Red Wiggler Community Farm (MD) on July 27th. The tour will provide insight into their CSA; sustainable, organic farming practices; and highlight how Red Wiggler creates an inclusive environment for all. This is a great opportunity for aspiring care farmers to come and see first-hand how a care farm operates. There will also be live music, a farm stand, lawn games, refreshments, and more! Feel free to bring a picnic and make a day of it! No registration required.

June's monthly member gathering discussed how care farms are telling their stories in intriguing ways that capture the attention of local supporters, including local media outlets. Guest Presenters included Care Farm employees from Greens Do Good and 21 Roots Farm.

Peacehaven Community Farm is embarking on a campaign which includes building a multi-purpose community center, residential housing, arts center, outdoor recreation spaces, multidisciplinary healthcare clinic for the I/DD population, and expanded farming operations on their 89 acre campus in Whitsett, North Carolina. They have developed a campaign vision that is truly spectacular!

Join Cultivate Care at the Farm for a fabulous celebration of love and diversity at their Free Pride Event! There will be tee-shirts to tie-dye and a Pride Path to paint. Spend time learning about local community resources while playing with the baby goats or roasting marshmallows at the fire-pit.
